Thursday Farm Camp


In this class, students will explore multiple aspects of agriculture related to the environment, animal science and plant science by experiencing farming first hand. They will create a learning garden and tend to their growing fruits and vegetables. They will also interact with some animals and provide care. This class will also include cooking preparation and preservation, wood working (owl box, planters or small boat), entomology (explore bugs), arts and crafts, discussions, some “classroom learning” and much more.

  • In Person Camp at our Vista location

  • This is a drop off program for grades K - 8, runs for 11 weeks, and is priced at $595. 

  • Private pay only. No Charter Funds can be used for the Farming Program. 

  • This program is from 10 am to 2 pm (4 hours) and runs from Sept. 25th to Dec. 17th (No Class October 15th and November 26th)


Here is what a typical day might look like:

10:00 - 10:15 Animal Interaction 

10:15 - 10:30 Farming Chores

10:30 - 11:00 Work in The Garden

11:00 - 12:00 Cooking Up History

12:00 Lunch

12:30 - 1:30 Craft Project 

1:30 - 1:45 Farming - In The Classroom

1:45 - 2:00 Finishing Up

2:00 - 2:30 Pick Up Time

The Fall Farm Program will run for 11 weeks.


Rock Creek is a drop off enrichment center for homeschool families in the San Diego North County area. We gather under one roof vendors from different specialties so we can offer a full day of learning. Students have the possibility of selecting one class or a full day of classes or even two days of learning. Our vast selection of classes in the discipline of the performing arts, visual arts, culinary arts, technology, science, math and much more allows students to build their own schedule based on what they really enjoy learning.
